If you're planning a party in Woking or further afield in Surrey - indoors or outdoors, at home or at another venue - a vintage afternoon tea party is the perfect choice. Whatever occasion you're celebrating, whether it's a birthday or anniversary, a baby shower or just an excuse to get family and friends together, our afternoon tea catering brings the vintage tea party to you.

 

We'll cater your event and do all the set up, serving, clearing away, and washing up too. We can bring our pastel-blue 'scone van', a vintage caravan which really adds to the look and feel of your event and gives us a handy base to serve our afternoon teas from. Alternatively, we can use your or your venue's kitchen as a base. You can also hire us and our caravan for your event - you can add our afternoon tea catering for an additional charge or use your own catering.

What's in your afternoon tea?

 

Your traditional afternoon tea includes:

- Finger sandwiches

- Homemade scones with jam and clotted cream

- Homemade petits fours or cakes

- A selection of loose-leafed teas and freshly brewed coffee

 

We make the experience even more special by serving it all on vintage china and using other vintage props.

 

We offer a choice of fillings and flavours - or we can work with you to build your own bespoke catering package. We can accommodate vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, amongst others (some may be subject to an extra charge).

Choose from Mel's Classic Vintage Afternoon Tea (13-30 people), the Vintage 'Blue Scone Van' Experience (vintage caravan hire for mobile catering), or the Vintage Afternoon Tea Table (up to 12 people).

Mel's Classic Vintage Afternoon Tea

​For 13-30 guests / £35 per person 

​

What this includes:

• Consultation and menu planning

• Delivery, set up, clear away, and washing up

• Four types of finger sandwiches – one and a half rounds (three slices of bread) per person

• Two homemade scones with clotted cream and jam per person

• Three homemade petit fours or cakes per person

• A selection of seasonal fruit

• Loose-leaf tea and freshly ground coffee

• Vintage crockery

• Table styling

• Vintage games

Book and host a Classic Vintage Afternoon Tea party for over 30 people in 2026 and we'll include hire of our vintage caravan at no extra cost.

​The Vintage 'Blue Scone Van' Experience

​From £250 / Add afternoon tea for £35 per person

 

​What this includes:

• Vintage caravan hire

• Caravan kitchen and serving space

• Waitress service

• Vintage games

• Delivery, set up, clear away, washing up

Our caravan has a functioning kitchen with options for on-site baking, warming of scones, and refrigeration. Hot drinks can also be served from the caravan. The caravan has eight pastel-coloured tables and 12 chairs for your guests and some decorations.

​

​While a power connection is preferable, we also have a gas/petrol generator that keeps the fridge and urn working. Ideally you'll have a hose connection too, but if not, we have the capacity to bring water 50 litres of water with us.

 

Everything else is carefully packed inside the caravan meaning that at the end of your event we clear up and take everything away with us. 

 

There may be an additional charge for travel time if you live outside the Woking area: please get in touch for more details. ​
