For a special event, what could be a better surprise than a vintage mobile teashop parked on your drive and serving traditional afternoon teas?  This package includes hire of the caravan and waiters, our 5 hygiene rated mini-kitchen.  You decide how many guests you would like to invite.  This tea party starts at £195 for two hours including set and clean up time.  Add afternoon teas to your package for £15 per person for up to 40 people and crockery at approximately £5 per person.  If there are more than 40 people then afternoon teas cost £10 per person for each additional tea.   Afternoon tea includes sandwiches, cakes, scones, clotted cream, jam, tea and coffee.  More information is available on our teashop hire page.
 
Example customer:  We had a booking for 10 people including a range of ages.  These customers wanted us to serve afternoon tea from the scone van in their garden for a 40th birthday party.  We towed the caravan to their house and into their garden and then set up a long table for the whole family with tablecloths, crockery, flowers, cutlery and cake stands.  We arrived early so that we could set up and then after 45 minutes served a selection of sandwiches including cucumber, strawberry and cream cheese, chicken coronation, and tea.  Meanwhile we heated the scones and prepared more tea.  Clotted cream from our fridge and homemade jam was arranged in china on the table and the scones were brought to the table still warm from the oven.  To finish the meal, we then served a range of cakes and seasonal fruit.  We had asked for cake requests and these customers asked for Victoria sponge and Battenburg.  We offered more tea and coffee to accompany the cakes.  By this time the customers were very full and the children were tired so, while they went off to pursue the bedtime routine, we cleaned up and packaged all the leftovers for the family.
